Following the success of the 2024 and 2025 Lantern Parades which happened down in the picturesque Trenance Valley we’re now looking forward to the third Newquay Lantern Parade and Trenance Cottages Lights Switch On, an event set to return on Friday 20th November from 5.30pm. This year is slightly different as Newquay BID and Newquay Town Council will take on the management of the schools activity, while Blystra Arts will concentrate on the community aspects of the event, running their ever popular, Community Lantern Making Workshop and adding in an Adult Lantern Making Workshop for 2026 too.
The parade itself is happening on 20th Nov from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and is now firmly lodged in to Newquay’s annual events calendar, kicking off a series of townwide festive events happening throughout Nov and Dec 2026.
